Fair Haven is our birthplace and headquarters. Without the support from Mayor Halpern, the fire department, small businesses, students and residents of Fair Haven,
we would not have been able to collect 700,025 pounds of food for people who are food insecure.
All of you have contributed to our expansion across 50 towns within six counties in New Jersey. We currently have drop site locations in Fair Haven, Montclair, Egg
Harbor, Howell, Raritan and we are just getting started.
Our next food drive is Saturday November 2, 2024, and we need your help! Close to one million people go to bed hungry every night in New Jersey. Food insecurity has grown by 22% in the last year. It may seem that 700,000 pounds of food is a lot of food collected, but it’s a drop in the bucket of what is truly needed to solve the problem.
Have your students sign up as Neighborhood Captains to earn their community service hours and please continue to fill your yellow bags. Dermer Dreams is not going to
stop. With the drive, energy and ingenuity of teenagers, we will continue to Fight Hunger…One Bag at a time
